Internship description
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will join our engineering team and support the design and development of mechanical systems for commercial and pleasure craft.
This internship offers hands‑on exposure to real client projects and the opportunity to develop practical engineering skills under the guidance of experienced professionals. It is well suited for students looking to complement their studies with meaningful industry experience.
Internship tasks and responsibilities
Assisting in the design and development of mechanical systems and components
Supporting 3D modelling and basic design work using SolidWorks, or similar tools
Participating in concept development and feasibility studies
Assisting with technical documentation and production support materials
Collaborating with engineers, naval architects, and designers in project teams
Responsibilities will be adapted based on your study background and experience level.
Internship requirements
Currently studying second year or higher in Mechanical Engineering
Interest in the maritime industry, small craft, or commercial vessel design
Basic familiarity with SolidWorks, Rhino, or other parametric 3D software
Interest in mechanical design principles and production processes
Fluency in English (spoken and written); Finnish is considered a plus
Willingness to learn, curiosity, and a proactive attitude
