Internship description
As a Naval Architecture Intern, you will support our naval architecture team in the design and development of commercial and pleasure boats. You will work closely with experienced naval architects, mechanical engineers, and industrial designers and gain exposure to real projects across different design phases.
Internship tasks and responsibilities
Assist in hull form development and basic naval architecture calculations
Support stability, weight, and performance analyses under supervision
Participate in concept development and feasibility studies
Help prepare drawings, calculations, and technical documentation
Collaborate with engineers and designers to integrate naval architecture solutions into overall vessel design
Gain exposure to applicable rules, regulations, and production considerations
Responsibilities will be adapted based on your study and experience level.
Internship requirements
Currently studying second year or higher in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a closely related field
Interest in commercial and pleasure boats design
Basic understanding of naval architecture principles (e.g. stability, hydrodynamics, structures)
Familiarity with relevant tools or software is an advantage (e.g. CAD or analysis tools), but not required
Fluent in English (spoken and written); Finnish language skills are considered a plus
Willingness to learn, curiosity, and a proactive approach to tasks
